Remember this when using centralized BTC tokens on Ethereum. If everyone who holds the private keys died, got bored, lost them, got arrested, got seized, etc, would you be out all your money?
0xBitcoin will exist and function as long as Ethereum itself does.
If you bridge your funds somewhere, your mental model should be - will I be able to reclaim my assets if I disappear for 10 years, and when I am back the bridge operator is long gone
